Orders & Shipping

How long does shipping take within Canada?

Orders are typically processed and shipped within 4 business days. Once shipped, delivery via Purolator or Canada Post takes 3-7 business days depending on your location and carrier. You'll receive a tracking number once your order ships so you can follow its journey to you!

When will my order ship?

We process orders within 4 business days. This processing time allows us to carefully prepare your handcrafted items for shipping. Once your order is ready, we'll ship it via Purolator or Canada Post and send you a tracking number.

Which shipping carrier do you use?

We use both Purolator and Canada Post for shipping within Canada. The carrier used for your order will depend on your location and the best service for your delivery address. Canada Post can deliver to PO boxes, while Purolator offers faster service to many urban areas.

Do you ship internationally?

Currently, we ship within Canada only. We're exploring international shipping options for the future, so stay tuned!

How do I track my order?

Once your order ships, you'll receive an email with your tracking number and a link to track your package. You can also check your order status by logging into your account on our website.

What if my item arrives damaged?

We package everything carefully, but accidents can happen during shipping. If your item arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours with photos of the damage and we'll work with you to make it right.

Are your pieces really handmade?

Absolutely! Every piece is handcrafted by me, Mary, in my Maritime studio. From selecting beach glass along our beautiful coastlines to crocheting each stitch, everything is made with care and attention to detail.

What materials do you use?

I work with genuine beach glass and coastal treasures collected from Maritime shores, quality yarns (both natural and synthetic fibers), resin for decorative art pieces, and metal findings that are purchased as lead-free and nickel-free. Where does the beach glass come from?

All beach glass and coastal treasures are collected from beaches here in the Maritimes. Each piece is naturally tumbled by the ocean, making every item truly one-of-a-kind!

Care & Maintenance

How do I care for my jewelry?

Can I wear my beach glass jewelry in water?

We recommend removing all jewelry before swimming, showering, or washing hands to protect the metal components and extend the life of your piece. Water exposure can cause tarnishing and damage over time.

How do I wash my crochet items?

Hand wash gently in cool water with mild detergent, then lay flat to dry. Never wring or twist crochet items. For complete care instructions, see our Product Care & Information page.

I have sensitive skin. Will your jewelry irritate me?

We use metal findings purchased as lead-free and nickel-free, and offer various yarn types for crochet items. However, individual sensitivities vary. Returns & Exchanges

What is your return policy?

Items can be returned within 14 days of delivery in their original, unworn condition for a refund or exchange. Please contact us to initiate a return.

Who pays for return shipping?

If you're returning an item due to a defect or error on our part, we'll cover return shipping. For other returns (change of mind, sizing issues, etc.), the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

General Questions

Do you have a physical store location?

Maritime Mary's is an online-only shop at this time. All items are available for purchase through our website.

How can I contact you with questions?

Do you offer gift wrapping?

While we don't currently offer gift wrapping, all items are packaged with care in coastal-themed packaging that makes a lovely presentation!

Are your products safe for children?
